Synopsis

The Bronze (2016) is an American dark comedy directed by Bryan Buckley that you can watch online on iFILM. In 2004, Hope Ann Greggory won a gymnastics bronze medal and became a local legend. Years later, she's still trading on it — mooching off her father, terrorizing autograph seekers, and refusing to move an inch forward.

Melissa Rauch, who also co-wrote the script with her husband Winston Rauch, plays Hope as genuinely difficult: foul-mouthed, petty, and completely aware of exactly how much her fifteen minutes are worth. When a young gymnast with real talent arrives in town, Hope is hired as her coach — a job she takes for the worst possible reasons. Gary Cole plays the patient father; Sebastian Stan shows up in a memorable supporting role.

The film holds its unflattering portrait of Hope longer than most studio comedies would allow, and that's the point. It's not a redemption arc packaged with warmth — it earns whatever softness arrives late by making you sit through the full picture first. Stream The Bronze online on iFILM.
