Synopsis

Metro City floats above the clouds while the surface below is a dumping ground for broken machines. After his son dies in a lab accident, genius scientist Dr. Tenma (Nicolas Cage) builds a robotic replacement — young Astro, powered by a rare blue-core energy. The boy is too human to be a machine and too mechanical to belong with people. Stranded on the surface, Astro falls in with a crew of outcast robots and starts learning who he actually is — and whether that's worth fighting for.
