Synopsis
Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules (2011) is a family comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Greg Heffley survived the Cheese Touch, started seventh grade, and figures he finally has middle school figured out. He's wrong about that.
His biggest problem now lives down the hall: older brother Rodrick, garage-band drummer and full-time tormentor. When their mom launches a "Mom Bucks" scheme to make the boys bond, the two fake a truce while waging a quiet sibling war underneath it. Zachary Gordon returns as Greg, Devon Bostick brings smug menace to Rodrick, and Steve Zahn and Rachael Harris play parents clinging to the dream of one happy family.
Based on Jeff Kinney's second book, the movie keeps his scribbly doodles, animating them right across the screen. It's an easy pick for a night in with kids around eight and up: gentle, never mean-spirited, and honest about how an older brother can be a nightmare and still be on your side.
