She surfaces in a small town where cartels set the rules, and finds shelter with Julio (Sebastián Carvajal), a local police officer whose family takes her in without knowing who she is. Her past arrives anyway. The film's central pull is a clean moral question: does Dominique disappear the way she was trained to, or does she protect the one family that treated her like a human being.
