Synopsis
All the Invisible Children (Les enfants invisibles, 2006) is an anthology film you can watch online on iFILM. Seven directors, seven countries, seven short films — each built around a single child protagonist. The project was produced for UNICEF, with all theatrical proceeds going to children's aid programs.
The lineup is unlikely to share a billing again: Spike Lee, Ridley Scott, John Woo, Emir Kusturica, Mehdi Charef, Kátia Lund, and Jordan Scott each directed a segment. Seven separate visual styles, no shared aesthetic. The cast across the segments includes David Thewlis, Kelly Macdonald, André Royo, and Rosie Perez.
Anthology films often average out into something middling — this one doesn't, because the segments don't share a tone. Some are bleak, some searching, none comfortable. What holds them together is the specificity: not "children in poverty" as an abstraction, but this child, this street, this day. Stream All the Invisible Children online on iFILM.
