Synopsis
Heartless (2010) is a British horror fantasy you can watch online on iFILM, written and directed by Philip Ridley and led by Jim Sturgess.
Jamie Morgan has carried a disfiguring birthmark his whole life, living in the East End and shrinking from the world outside. The neighbourhood is already on edge — hooded gangs in demon masks have turned the streets dangerous. After his mother is killed in front of him, Jamie sees something he can't explain to the police. He makes a deal: lose the mark, get a new life. The cost comes later, and it isn't what he expected.
Timothy Spall and Eddie Marsan round out the cast, but the film turns on Sturgess, who carries the weight of a character whose biggest battle isn't with the supernatural. Ridley wraps a raw story about self-acceptance inside genre trappings — dark, uneven in places, but genuinely unsettling in the right ones. Stream Heartless (2010) online on iFILM.
