The Package

Sergeant Johnny Gallagher is handed a straightforward mission: escort a military prisoner from Berlin back to Washington. The prisoner disappears at the airport — quietly, professionally, as if the whole thing was planned. Gallagher pulls the thread and finds himself standing at the edge of a conspiracy that reaches into the high command of both superpowers. With arms-reduction talks between the US and the Soviet Union about to conclude, certain people on both sides have decided the treaty cannot happen.
