Synopsis

Every stop is a fresh town and a fresh body. A minor league ballpark, a family funeral home, an elementary school talent show, an alligator farm, a big-box store bleeding cash on Black Friday. The howcatchem format holds: you see who did it before Charlie arrives, and the fun is watching her corner the liar. Along the way she falls in with aging con artists, gets squeezed between the mob and the FBI, and lets a neighbour get a little too close. By the season's last stretch, her own past is gaining on her.
Showrunner Rian Johnson keeps the deadpan wit and the soft spot for decent people, stacking the guest list with familiar faces — Steve Buscemi, Ron Perlman, Justin Theroux.
