Synopsis
Good Dick (2008) is an American indie dramedy you can watch online on iFILM. A jittery, wisecracking clerk at a Los Angeles video store becomes fixated on a reclusive regular — a young woman who only ever drifts toward the adult section.
When his daily counter banter gets him nowhere, he pulls her address from the store database, drives to her building, and launches an awkward, almost siege-like campaign for her attention. She lives shut away and keeps everyone at arm's length, so his pushiness slams straight into a wall. That uneasy standoff is the whole film: two damaged people circling the closeness they're both terrified of.
Marianne Palka writes, directs, and plays the lead opposite Jason Ritter, with Martin Starr and Tom Arnold turning up in small roles. The picture premiered at Sundance in 2008 and runs on discomfort rather than charm — the guy is often hard to like, and the movie never softens that. Best for viewers who go for raw, prickly relationship indies with no gloss. Stream Good Dick (2008) online on iFILM.
