College Road Trip

College Road Trip (2008) is a Disney family comedy you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Roger Kumble and starring Martin Lawrence alongside Raven-Symoné. The two leads were already a proven pairing from That's So Raven, and the film leans into that chemistry from the first scene.

Melanie Porter has one plan: visit colleges across the country and choose Northwestern Law on her own terms. Her father James — a Chicago police chief who still sees her as twelve years old — has a different plan. He's coming with her. The road trip that follows involves a runaway pig, a detour through a sorority house, and Donny Osmond in a supporting role that somehow works. Brenda Song rounds out the chaos.

It's an unambitious film in the best sense — it knows exactly what it is and delivers it cleanly. The father-daughter tension resolves exactly as expected, but Lawrence and Symoné sell the emotional beats well enough that the predictability doesn't matter.
