Synopsis
The Sweetest Thing (2002) is a raunchy romantic comedy you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Roger Kumble and led by Cameron Diaz. Christina has spent years dodging anything serious, until one night out she meets a guy worth chasing.
Then Peter skips town before she can act on it. So Christina grabs her best friend Courtney, played by Christina Applegate, and the two hit the road across California to track down the one she let slip away. Wedding crashing, a dressing-room disaster, a musical number about a man's anatomy, and a Selma Blair scene people still bring up two decades later.
Written by Nancy Pimental and made by the same director behind Cruel Intentions, this one trades sharp drama for full-on goofiness. It's a love-it-or-cringe-at-it picture: the gross-out gags lose some viewers, but if you want a no-lessons, 84-minute girls'-night romp, that's exactly the point.
