Synopsis

Watch WKRP in Cincinnati Season 2 online on iFILM — 24 episodes from 1979 in which the radio-station comedy stops finding its footing and just runs. The cast clicks, and the jokes land harder than the debut year.

Where the first season introduced the misfits, this one hands each of them a real turn. Bailey Quarters fights her way onto the news desk and runs straight into Les, who has no intention of sharing a microphone. Arthur Carlson runs for city council while his wife announces she's pregnant. Johnny Fever hears what he thinks is the voice of God, then has to host his grown daughter and the deadbeat she's dragged along. The season also reaches further than sitcom usually does: a softball grudge match with a rival station, a visiting Soviet hog expert begging to defect, and a rare straight-faced episode built around the real Who concert tragedy in Cincinnati that December.

This is the stretch where a mismatched office turns into a family without losing its absurd streak. It's for anyone who liked Season 1 and wants the characters dug a little deeper. Stream all episodes of WKRP in Cincinnati Season 2 online on iFILM.
