Witch Hunt

Witch Hunt (2021) is an American horror-fantasy directed by Elle Callahan — watch it online on iFILM. The premise is simple and uncomfortable: witches exist, and in this version of the United States they are hunted, prosecuted, and executed by law. Claire, a sheltered teenager who has never had reason to question any of this, is played by Gideon Adlon. Elizabeth Mitchell plays her mother.

When two young witches fleeing south toward the Mexican border end up hiding in Claire's home, her comfortable assumptions start breaking apart. Callahan builds the film as a social parable, using the fantasy scaffolding lightly — the allegory to immigration and state persecution is the point, not a subtext.
