Synopsis
Twins of Evil (1971) is a Hammer gothic horror you can watch online on iFILM. Dabbling in Satanism, Count Karnstein resurrects the vampire Mircalla, who turns him into one of the undead — and soon a string of unexplained deaths spreads through the villages around his castle.
Standing against him is Gustav Weil, the iron-faced leader of a Puritan witch-hunting brotherhood, every bit as fanatical as the count is wicked. The trouble: his two orphaned nieces live under his roof. Gentle Maria and rebellious Frieda, played by real-life twins Mary and Madeleine Collinson. When the count seduces one of them into the dark, no one can tell the innocent girl from the vampire — and Gustav's torch is already lit. Peter Cushing makes the inquisitor scarier than any fang.
Late-period Hammer at its moody best: red cloaks, torchlit mobs, mossy crypts and that unmistakable British-studio gloom. John Hough directs, loosely drawing on Le Fanu's Carmilla. One for fans of old-school vampire cinema — no CGI blood, just genuine atmosphere. Stream Twins of Evil (1971) online on iFILM.
