Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman are back on duty in Justice League Action (2016–2018), the animated DC series you can watch online on iFILM. Episodes run a brisk eleven minutes and drop the heroes straight into the fight, skipping the slow build-up entirely.

The roster shuffles week to week. Around the core three you get the Flash, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, Steel, Firestorm and dozens more, all squaring off against Lex Luthor, the Joker, Brainiac and their endless squads of henchmen. Every hero brings a different power set, and the writers clearly enjoy pairing odd teammates just to see who out-argues whom mid-battle.

For longtime fans, the voice cast is the real treat: Kevin Conroy returns as Batman and Mark Hamill as the Joker, the same duo that defined the beloved nineties cartoon. Warner Bros. built the show to be fast and light on purpose, which makes it easy viewing for younger kids and a nostalgia hit for anyone raised on classic DC animation.
