Mohabbatein

Running underneath all three stories is a longer conflict: Raj and the headmaster have a history, one that goes back to Megha, Shankar's daughter, and a relationship that ended the way Shankar ends everything he disapproves of.

The film runs past three and a half hours and fills every minute with song, performance, and an argument about whether tradition or individual feeling should govern a young person's life.
