The narrow lanes and ghats of the holy city on the Ganges become a character in their own right.

A. R. Rahman wrote the score, and his songs work as the pulse of the story rather than decoration. This is no breezy rom-com — it looks hard at how obsession can pass itself off as love and what that costs everyone involved.
