Synopsis
Razorback (1984) is an Australian horror thriller you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Russell Mulcahy before he moved on to Highlander. The creature at the centre is a giant feral boar — roughly four hundred kilograms, with razored tusks — loose in the remote outback and responsible for a string of deaths that the local community has decided to stop reporting to anyone.
When an American wildlife journalist disappears while filming in the region, her husband Carl travels from New York to find her. He arrives in a landscape that makes no concessions: brutal heat, flat red nothing to the horizon, and locals who've long since made their own accommodation with the beast. Gregory Harrison plays Carl; the outback itself plays the real antagonist.
Mulcahy brought his music-video background to the cinematography, which gives the film an unusually slick visual grammar for low-budget horror of that era. Stream Razorback (1984) online on iFILM — creature horror that works as much through landscape and dread as through what it actually shows you.
