Frank Fogle's wife just died. Her last wish: scatter her ashes at a lake in rural Ireland. That means bringing along his son Sean, just released from prison, who agrees to come only after Frank promises this will be the last time they see each other. They drive. A hitchhiker (Sarah Bolger) joins them, and the things Frank's wife never said start coming out.
