Absentia (Seasons 1–3)

Absentia (from 2017) is a US-Canadian crime drama series starring Stana Katic — stream all seasons online on iFILM. FBI agent Emily Byrne vanished while hunting one of Boston's most dangerous serial killers. Six years later she turned up alive, locked in a cabin, with almost no memory of what happened to her in between.

Coming back is harder than surviving. Her husband Nick has moved on — new partner, new family, their son growing up with someone else as his mother. Emily's FBI colleagues aren't exactly rolling out the welcome mat either: too many gaps in her story, too many questions without answers. Patrick Heusinger, Neil Jackson, Natasha Little, and Ralph Ineson round out a sharp ensemble cast. The series doesn't hand out revelations cheaply — each season reframes what came before, and Emily spends much of it unsure whether the threat is coming from outside or from inside her own fractured memory.
