Synopsis
Undone (2019) is an animated drama series you can watch online on iFILM, produced for Amazon Prime Video and filmed using rotoscope animation — actors were shot on camera, then hand-painted frame by frame into a fluid, dreamlike visual style. Rosa Salazar leads the cast, with Bob Odenkirk as her long-dead father.
Alma is coasting through life: a job she tolerates, a relationship she's not sure about, days that blur together. Then she sees her father standing on the side of the road. A crash follows. After waking from a coma, he doesn't disappear — he tells her she now has a relationship with time itself, and that she can go back far enough to stop him from dying. The question the show keeps asking is whether any of this is real, or whether Alma is simply breaking down.
Co-created by Raphael Bob-Waksberg and Kate Purdy, Undone leans into that ambiguity rather than resolving it, making it one of the few animated series that genuinely unsettles.
