Hacker

Hacker (2016) is a Canadian-Kazakh crime thriller you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Akan Sataev and based on actual events. Alex, a Ukrainian teenager, arrives in Toronto with his family chasing a fresh start. When his mother gets pushed out of her bank job, he stops looking for a fair solution and starts looking for a technical one.

Callan McAuliffe plays Alex with the cold focus of someone who's genuinely good at something dangerous. His entry point into the DarkWeb criminal network feels incremental — small jobs, fast money, a sense of evening the score — until the infrastructure he's operating inside turns out to have its own agenda. Clifton Collins Jr. appears in a key supporting role, and the film runs through real methods — carding, phishing, data brokering — rather than the glowing gibberish that passes for hacking in most genre movies.
