Synopsis
Wrong Turn 6: Last Resort (2014) is a backwoods slasher you can watch online on iFILM. The sixth entry in the cannibal-clan franchise from the West Virginia hills went straight to video, directed by Bulgarian filmmaker Valeri Milev.
A young man named Danny inherits a forgotten mountain resort, Hobb Springs, and heads out with a group of friends to claim it. Waiting there are an oddly intense caretaker couple and the whole Hillicker clan, relatives Danny never knew he had. The warm welcome curdles fast: this family has practiced cannibalism for generations and sees the newcomer as fresh blood to keep the bloodline going. Danny is pushed to pick a side, his friends or his kin.
There's not much story here, but there's no shortage of gore, nudity and inventive kills, which is exactly what got the film both trashed and embraced.
