Hellraiser: Deader

Hellraiser: Deader (2005) is the seventh entry in the long-running Hellraiser franchise — watch it online on iFILM. Directed by Rick Bota and shot largely on location in Bucharest, the film follows Amy Klein (Kari Wührer), a hard-edged London journalist sent to Romania to dig into a death cult whose leader claims he can raise the dead.

Amy goes under cover and discovers the cult is no ordinary fringe group. Its members die by their own hand — and come back. The deeper she gets, the less she can find a way out. When she turns up a familiar puzzle box, Pinhead (Doug Bradley) is never far behind, and Amy's investigation stops being journalism and starts being survival.

Bota gets decent mileage out of the Romanian locations — crumbling concrete and underground spaces that feel genuinely off. It's a leaner, grimmer entry than some middle chapters of the series, and Bradley delivers his lines with the same cold authority that made the character iconic.
