The investigation pulls them past any threshold a living person should cross, into a chamber where the Auditor, the Assessor, and the Jury process sinners in a bureaucratic hell that runs with cold efficiency. The tagline — Evil seeks evil — maps the plot with uncomfortable accuracy: the hunters aren't as clean as they think.

For fans of the franchise, the film's main draw is getting screen time inside the infernal apparatus that earlier entries only hinted at.
