Synopsis

Invincible (2006) — watch online on iFILM — is a sports drama from Disney, directed by Ericson Core and starring Mark Wahlberg and Greg Kinnear. It is based on the true story of Vince Papale, a 30-year-old South Philly bartender who had never played college football.

In 1976, Eagles head coach Dick Vermeil opened the training camp to the public. Anyone could try out. Papale showed up, outran the competition, and earned a roster spot on a professional NFL team — something that had not happened to a walk-on his age before or since. The film follows the months between that open tryout and the moment he takes the field in a real game, with the weight of a struggling city on his back.

Wahlberg plays Papale with a quiet stubbornness that feels earned rather than scripted, and Core — whose background is in cinematography — shoots Philadelphia as a place with real stakes. A straight, honest underdog story. Stream Invincible online on iFILM.
