Synopsis
Eddie and the Cruisers (1983) is a music-driven drama you can watch online on iFILM. A reporter digs into a 1960s rock band whose frontman died — or maybe didn't — the same night the tapes of their unreleased album vanished.
Two decades on, the Cruisers' songs are back on the radio, and newswoman Maggie Foley (Ellen Barkin) tracks down the surviving members. Former songwriter Frank Ridgeway (Tom Berenger) keeps circling the band's magnetic leader, Eddie Wilson (Michael Paré), and the lost recordings from their final session. Someone is hunting those tapes. It might just be Eddie himself.
The soundtrack came from John Cafferty & the Beaver Brown Band, whose anthem "On the Dark Side" became a radio hit and turned the film into a home-video cult favorite long after its quiet theatrical run.
