Synopsis

Kelly, a Texas waitress, heads to Fort Lauderdale with her friends; Justin, a Pennsylvania college kid, shows up with his. They meet on the sand, sparks fly, and then the whole thing wobbles over a lost phone number and a jealous friend scheming to steal the guy. Between beach parties, the cast keeps pausing to break into song.
The movie was rushed out to cash in on Kelly Clarkson and Justin Guarini while the show was still hot, and audiences tore it apart so thoroughly the studio later issued a tongue-in-cheek apology.
