Synopsis

In the invented Sugomori City, an unfinished program called the Kizuna System splits any injury across everyone implanted with its chip. Withdrawn high-schooler Katsuhira Agata is drafted as a Kiznaiver alongside six classmates who can barely stand one another, the news delivered by the enigmatic Noriko Sonosaki. Their pain is shared now — and so, little by little, is everything they tried to hide.
Written by Mari Okada, the show uses its sci-fi hook to dig into teenage intimacy: the notion that you have to take on someone else's hurt before you can really know them.
