The solution is as simple as it is unsettling: eat the monsters they fight. Laios is thrilled; he has always wanted to know what a living armor tastes like. Marcille is horrified. The halffoot Chilchuck just wants to survive. Together they descend level by level, cooking whatever they kill.

The series ran through 2024 and became one of the most talked-about anime of the year without relying on shock value — the monster biology is treated with actual internal logic, and the recipes are oddly coherent.
