Synopsis
Acapulco (2021), Season 1 is the Apple TV+ comedy-drama you can watch online on iFILM — ten episodes set in 1984, when young Maximo lands a dream job at the coast's hottest resort, Las Colinas.
The dream turns complicated fast. Maximo learns the art of the upsell and the craft of the elite waiter under the stern eye of Don Pablo, falls for the resort's designer Julia, and watches a visiting pop star try to charm her away. Around the work runs his family: his mother Nora goes on her first date in years, and Maximo slips off the property for a wild all-nighter with the wealthy heir Chad. Every episode brings its own guest and its own small story, yet one thread holds them together — how much of himself Maximo will trade for a promotion. The New Year's Eve bash that closes the season forces the question.
