The slate won't stay clean. Julia is reeling from Chad's surprise proposal, and Maximo, desperate to clear his family's debt, grabs the chance to wait on a pair of feuding tennis stars. The season pulls him closer to the dream of becoming Diane's right hand, but the cost keeps climbing. Diane's own past resurfaces, a new love named Isabel appears who could rival the girl he's always wanted, and more than one moral choice lands hard. A present-day thread runs alongside it — an older Maximo comes back to Acapulco after Don Pablo's death to settle business his younger self left undone.
