Synopsis

Season 6 of All Creatures Great & Small — watch online on iFILM — seven episodes set in peacetime Yorkshire, May 1945, as Skeldale House discovers that peace is harder than it sounds.

Siegfried is back at the surgery and barely recognisable — erratic, unreachable. Tristan, freshly demobbed, watches his brother and doesn't know where to begin. James is stretched across two practices with finances in the red; Siegfried won't engage with the numbers. Helen manages Jenny's changing situation, Mrs Hall tends to family matters, and Tristan and Charlotte try to hold on to each other before his leave runs out. The season closes on Christmas 1945, the first peacetime one, which turns out to feel nothing like anyone imagined.

Of the six seasons this one carries the most ambiguity: the relief of peace, and everything that still quietly hurts alongside it. Stream All Creatures Great & Small Season 6 all episodes on iFILM.
