Synopsis
The Block Island Sound (2021) is an American horror film you can watch online on iFILM, directed by brothers Kevin and Matthew McManus. Off the coast of New England, fisherman Tom Lynch starts losing time. Dead fish wash up on the shore. Dead birds pile up in the yard. And Tom is doing things at night he can't account for in the morning.
His sister Harper arrives from the mainland and can't make sense of what she's seeing — their father is slipping, and something in the water seems to be pulling at him. Chris Sheffield and Michaela McManus anchor a film that's less interested in showing you the monster than in making you feel the wrongness of the place. The McManus brothers built this on a tight budget and a real sense of coastal dread — closer to folk horror than creature feature. It doesn't hand you answers.
