TV-14Season 1
She can hear the soundtrack of your life.
Synopsis
Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist (2020), Season 1 is the musical dramedy you can watch online on iFILM — 12 episodes about a woman who starts hearing people's private thoughts as songs.
Zoey Clarke codes for a tech firm in San Francisco. A freak event during an MRI leaves her with a strange gift: the people around her break into pop numbers and belt out everything they'd never say out loud. At first it's a toy — peek at what a cute coworker really feels, fix her boss's marriage, nudge her friends together. Then it turns heavy. Other people's secrets pile up faster than she can act on them, and at home there's something no song can mend: her father Mitch is slipping away from a brutal illness, and music becomes the one channel left to a man who can barely speak. The season threads office comedy, a love triangle, and a very quiet family drama through the same dozen episodes.
Created by Austin Winsberg and led by Jane Levy, it stages its numbers live, skipping the lip-synced gloss. Reach for this season if you like musicals where the song is driven by feeling, not spectacle. Watch all episodes online on iFILM.
