Synopsis
Cut Throat City (2020) is a crime drama directed by RZA of the Wu-Tang Clan that you can watch online on iFILM. In a flooded New Orleans, four childhood friends come home to a neighborhood with no houses left standing and no work to be found.
Blink (Shameik Moore) and his crew want to go straight, but the rebuilding money flows right past them while the bills and the families pile up. A local gangster known as Cousin Bass (T.I.) offers a way out: a brazen casino heist in the middle of downtown. It goes sideways fast, and soon the cops, the politicians and the mob are all hunting them at once. Wesley Snipes, Ethan Hawke, Terrence Howard and Eiza González round out the cast.
RZA shoots the Lower Ninth Ward as a place the government simply walked away from, threading a sharp point about who actually gets help after a disaster through the heist plot. The film swings between comic-book swagger and bitter social drama. It's for viewers who like their crime stories with an attitude and a soundtrack built by a real musician.
