Synopsis
High Fidelity (2020) is Hulu's comedy-drama series you can watch online on iFILM. Zoë Kravitz plays Rob Brooks, who runs a record store in Brooklyn's Crown Heights and has just been left by the person she thought was the one. She deals with it the only way she knows: through music, and through lists.
Top five worst breakups. Top five people she's loved. Rob tracks them all down to figure out where things went wrong — while trying not to repeat the same patterns with whoever comes next. Davyne Joy Randolph and David H. Holmes play her coworkers at the shop, the two people in her life most likely to say the thing she doesn't want to hear.
The show is adapted from Nick Hornby's 1995 novel, relocated from North London to a rapidly changing Brooklyn and with the lead character's gender flipped. None of that feels like a gimmick because Kravitz makes Rob entirely her own. One season, ten episodes. Stream High Fidelity online on iFILM.
