Russell Crowe plays a razor-sharp drifter who arrives with his own agenda. Lucy Liu runs a fortified brothel. Dave Bautista shows up as a warrior whose body literally turns to brass. RZA packed the film with deliberate nods to 1970s Shaw Brothers pictures, right down to the zooms and the bone-crunch sound design, and layered Wu-Tang-style beats over the whole thing.
