The Big One
Protecting the Earth from the scum of corporate America.
Synopsis
The Big One (1997) is Michael Moore's corporate-road-trip documentary you can watch online on iFILM. Moore tours the US promoting his latest book and uses the trip as cover for something else: showing up unannounced at the offices of America's biggest companies with a film crew in tow.
The question he keeps asking is blunt — why do corporations like Nike shift factories to countries paying pennies an hour while American workers lose jobs by the thousands? Moore corners laid-off employees outside shuttered plants, outmaneuvers PR handlers in lobbies, and finally lands a sit-down with Nike CEO Phil Knight. Knight agrees to talk. He regrets it. Moore's real weapon throughout is relentless politeness — the kind that makes a billionaire look small on camera.
