Synopsis
Grimm Love (Rohtenburg, 2006) is a German-American crime horror you can watch online on iFILM. Directed by Martin Weiss, it reconstructs the 2001 German case in which a man placed an online ad seeking someone willing to be eaten — and found a taker. Keri Russell leads the cast alongside Thomas Kretschmann and Thomas Huber.
Graduate student Katie Armstrong (Russell) is writing her thesis on cannibal killer Oliver Hagen. She digs through case files, tracks down witnesses, watches footage. The further she goes, the less she functions as a detached researcher. Weiss cuts between her unraveling and Hagen's own story: a childhood spent in isolation, an unusual correspondence, then the day his volunteer finally showed up.
The film is shot cold — no swelling score, no release. It reconstructs the story with the quiet precision of a case report, and that's exactly what makes it linger. Stream Grimm Love online on iFILM if you want true crime that doesn't look away.
