Synopsis
The anime series xxxHOLiC (2006) is available to watch online on iFILM. High schooler Kimihiro Watanuki has seen things no one else can since he was a kid — spirits, shadows and restless souls that cling to him wherever he goes. While running from one of them, he ducks into an odd little shop where, rumor has it, wishes come true.
The shop belongs to Yūko Ichihara, a beautiful, lazy, sly witch who agrees to free him from the spirits. But every wish has a price of equal weight, so Watanuki becomes her cook, cleaner and errand boy. Each episode brings a new visitor carrying a secret desire, and the cost of granting it tends to run far higher than it first looks. These are quiet parables about greed, lies and attachment, told right on the edge between fairy tale and horror.
Adapted from the manga by the legendary studio CLAMP, the show shares a universe with Tsubasa Chronicle. Jun Fukuyama voices Watanuki and Sayaka Ohara plays Yūko.
