Synopsis
Flesh and Bone (2015) is a dark drama set in the world of ballet you can watch online on iFILM. Claire, a young dancer carrying a damaged past, runs from home and lands a place in a prestigious New York company. That's where the good news ends for her.
Behind the polish of the stage lie injuries, hunger, bloodied pointe shoes, and rivalries vicious enough to end a career with a single rumor. Claire fights for a solo, hides her own demons, and draws the obsessive attention of Paul, the tyrannical artistic director who stages ballet like a personal war. Real-life ballerina Sarah Hay leads, alongside Ben Daniels, former Bolshoi principal Irina Dvorovenko, and Damon Herriman. The dancing is shot for real — body, sweat and pain, no doubles smoothing it over.
This eight-episode limited series comes from Moira Walley-Beckett, a writer on Breaking Bad, and that same merciless eye for cornered characters moves straight from Albuquerque into the rehearsal studio. Not for anyone expecting a pretty fairy tale in tutus — it's a harsh look at the cost of perfection. Stream all episodes of Flesh and Bone (2015) online on iFILM.
