Synopsis
An Amazon sci-fi drama with a time-travel hook, Paper Girls (2022) is ready to watch online on iFILM. It's the morning after Halloween in 1988, and four kids on a newspaper route ride straight into a war fought across time.
Erin, Mac, Tiffany and KJ trip an unfamiliar machine and wake up in 2019, where they come face to face with their grown-up selves. Camryn Jones plays Tiffany; Ali Wong shows up as the adult Erin. The girls have to get home without wrecking the future, all while two rival factions of travelers chase them through the decades. Adapted from the graphic novel by Brian K. Vaughan and Cliff Chiang, the show runs one eight-episode season before Amazon pulled the plug — yet it still lands its core idea about growing up and meeting the person you'll become.
