Synopsis
City of Ghosts (2002) is a slow-burn crime thriller you can watch online on iFILM. It marks Matt Dillon's directing debut, and he stars too — as Jimmy Cremming, a small-time American con man. When a fraud investigation closes in on his insurance racket, Jimmy slips out of the country and heads for Southeast Asia to track down the partner who taught him the trade.
The trail leads through humid Bangkok to the cracked hotels of Phnom Penh, deeper into a place where nobody's story holds up. Jimmy is chasing Marvin, played by James Caan, while everyone around him wants a cut. The cast runs deep: Gérard Depardieu, Stellan Skarsgård, Natascha McElhone. Dillon shot on location in Cambodia, and the dust and heat soak into every frame.
