Synopsis
Vampires: Los Muertos (2002) is a horror action sequel you can watch online on iFILM. Director Tommy Lee Wallace, who wrote the script as well, moved the action south of the border for this follow-up to John Carpenter's original, with Jon Bon Jovi stepping in as slayer Derek Bliss.
Bliss picks up a contract to deal with a vampire outbreak spreading through Mexico. He pulls together a small team, including Zooey — bitten, fighting the turn, running out of time. Their quarry isn't hiding: the pack's leader has a specific interest in the hunters chasing him, which makes the whole job considerably more dangerous than advertised. Diego Luna appears in an early screen role.
Shot on a fraction of the first film's budget and released directly to home video, this is genre entertainment that knows its lane: sun-baked locations, practical action, no irony.
