Synopsis
Kantara - A Legend: Chapter 1 (2025) is an Indian Kannada-language action fantasy from Hombale Films — watch online on iFILM. Rishab Shetty directs and stars, returning to the mythological world he built with the original Kantara (2022). The production cost around $14 million and earned more than $91 million globally. Composer Ajaneesh Loknath is back on the score.
The story reaches back to the Kadamba era. King Vijayendra enters the forest of Kantara and does not come out. His son Rajashekara seals the kingdom's borders to protect what remains. Then Prince Kulashekara tears them open in a brutal power play. Into this fractured land steps Berme — played by Shetty himself — a man crossing into Bangra for his own reasons, who sets off a clash between the crown's ambition and something older that the forest has never forgotten. Rukmini Vasanth, Jayaram and Gulshan Devaiah round out the lead cast.
