How Not to Summon a Demon Lord (異世界魔王と召喚少女の奴隷魔術, 2018) is an isekai comedy anime series you can watch online on iFILM. Takuma Sakamoto was the untouchable top player in the MMORPG Cross Reverie, feared by all under his avatar name Diablo, the Demon Lord. Then he wakes up inside that very character, standing on a summoning altar, staring at two girls who are arguing over which one of them pulled him here.

Both girls — the panther-type Rem and the elf Shera — immediately try to cast a binding spell to make him their servant. It backfires. His passive ability Magic Reflect sends the spell right back, and now they are the ones with slave crests on their hands. Takuma knows this game world inside out — every map, every mob, every exploit. What he has zero experience with is actual human conversation, so he keeps playing the arrogant overlord while quietly panicking on the inside.

Directed by Hirokia Negishi and adapted from Yukiya Muranushi's light novel series, the show ran two seasons: 2018 and 2021.
