Synopsis

The season starts with Sidney receiving sinister anonymous phone calls. Each one is connected to a murder. The victims are respected community figures; the pattern doesn't make sense. Six episodes, six different entry points into violence: a mass poisoning at a village cricket match, post office robberies that turn lethal, a young woman's death that people with influence tried to bury, a Romany encampment where Sidney ends up the prime suspect. The final case — a missing child — arrives with personal pressure that neither Sidney nor Geordie can manage at professional distance.
