Red White & Blue

Red White & Blue (2010) is a bleak British thriller with a horror edge, and you can watch online on iFILM. Director Simon Rumley ties three damaged lives together in Austin, Texas: Erica, who outruns an old childhood wound through endless one-night stands; Nate, a quiet drifter carrying an Army interrogator's past; and a young man nursing his dying mother.

For a while it plays as a slow character drama about lonely people in cheap rented rooms. Amanda Fuller and Noah Taylor underplay it, almost ordinary — until a single act sets off a chain there's no walking back from. The film snaps into a revenge story where victim and predator keep trading places.

This is not an easy night in. Rumley films the violence cold and unglamorous, and it lands all the harder for it. Worth a look if you want indie horror with real backbone rather than another disposable slasher. Stream Red White & Blue (2010) online on iFILM.
