Wasp Network

Assayas tells the story as a fractured mosaic, cutting between characters whose paths keep crossing in the Florida underground. Cuban intelligence had placed multiple agents inside Miami's exile networks — their actual mandate was stopping terrorist attacks against the island, not carrying them out — and that gap between mission and appearance drives the film's slow-burn tension.

Based on Fernando Morais' non-fiction book The Last Soldiers of the Cold War. Ana de Armas and Penélope Cruz are cast as wives who spent years in the dark about their husbands' real work, and those domestic scenes carry more weight than any of the operational intrigue.
